The Thoreau Educational Greenhouse Package is designed for schools with horticulture programs, correctional institutions, and serious gardeners for both growing and therapeutic reasons.
The 2in x 2in galvanized steel frame with pre-welded stanchions and commercially graded 8mm twin-wall corrugated covering (walls and roof) are the same specifications used in commercial products in the market today.

The walls and roof are warranted for 10 years and have a 15-20 year life expectancy. The Thoreau Greenhouse is named after the great naturalist and agriculturalist Henry David Thoreau.
The walls of the Thoreau are 6ft tall with a center peak of 9.5ft for optimal air circulation.
Thoreau Educational Greenhouse includes:
- 2 – 24-inch motorized shutters for air circulation
- 1 – 18-inch Quietaire industrial exhaust fan
- 2 – 3 ft. deep 18ft long commercial workbenches
- 1 – two-stage commercial thermostat to control fan & shutters
- 1 – 240-volt electric heater with built-in thermostat
- 1 – 18ft x 20ft (63%) shade cloth with tie-down rope
- 1 – automatic and programmable watering system with timer
- 1x lockable French glass security steel door (42in wide x 84in high)
- Stem wall: Not supported by manufacturer
Thoreau Growers Edition:
- The design differences include the unique and upgraded 8mm twin-wall Polycarbonate with the light diffusing feature.
- This allows more light to be captured and used in the growing process, saving the energy needed for a lighting system.

THE GREENHOUSE REQUIRES A WATER LINE AND ELECTRICAL LINE TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY. THERE ARE NO RETURNS ON THIS PRODUCT ONCE ORDERED.
